Failed To Reach The Unity License Server

Question

Hello, recently I downloaded Unity Hub and the most recent version of unity. I went to go activate my license on my computer through the automatic option, but I was prompted with "Failed to reach Unity license server." After that I decided to go the manual route and to my surprise every time I click "Save License Request" nothing follow... any solutions?

  Activate via Unity HUB on Windows.

Online activation steps:

1. Launch the Unity Hub.
2. Click the account icon in the top left of the window and sign in to your Unity ID.

     3. After you are signed in, click Preferences (cog icon).

   4. Click Licenses > Add license.

  5. Unity Plus, Pro, and Enterprise subscription holders click Activate with serial number (i). Unity Personal (free) users click Get a free personal license (ii).

  6. Unity Personal (free) users, read the Terms of Service, click Agree and get personal

Your license is now activated.

• You have a firewall or proxy in place. These can block the connection to our servers. Allow these ports in your settings: 80 and 443.

• You have antivirus software that is blocking the connection. Disable this and retry the activation process.

• You have a weak or intermittent internet connection - this is less likely than the points above. Some users will have an internal network and lack internet access (verify if you can ping https://core.cloud.unity3d.com/api/login on the command line). 

               Activate via command line on Windows

• Open the license.unity3d.com/manual webpage.
• If prompted, sign in to your Unity ID. This is necessary to request a Unity license file. The Manual activation webpage appears.
• Click the Browse button to locate the license activation (.alf) file you already generated using your system’s file browser. By default, your .alf is found in C:\Users\<username>
• If the upload was successful and Unity detected that the file you chose was a license activation file, the filename appears in the text box with a green checkmark. If you see a red X instead, try again.

• Click the Next button. The Activate your license webpage appears.

• Select which license type you are activating. Enter your serial number if using a Pro or Plus license.

• Click the Next button. The Download license file webpage appears.
• Click the Download license file button.

• Allow downloads for the license.unity3d.com/manual webpage if your system prompts you.
• Open your browser’s downloads location and locate the new Unity license file with the .ulf extension.

Now you are ready to activate your Unity license.
